Known for the successful organisation of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series which draw 45 000 participants across five South African cities in 2024, Stillwater Sports have been appointed as the official staging and commercial partner of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon. The appointment comes after a new board took office last month following the "...resignation of many directors after the difficulties experienced in staging the 2025." Two Oceans Marathon NPC Chairman Chris Goldschmidt says this is a new beginning for 'the world's most beautiful marathon.'

"The Two Oceans Marathon has a proud history, and this partnership marks a significant step forward in ensuring its future as a world-class event. We are confident that with Stillwater Sports' proven expertise, alongside the continued support of Totalsports, the 2026 edition will set new benchmarks for excellence and inclusivity."
Having worked with the title sponsor to stage the Totalsports Women's Race for over a decade, the Stellenbosch-based Stillwater Sports are no stranger to organising mass participation events in the Cape and across South Africa. The company's managing director Michael Meyer says they don't take this responsibility lightly given the history and heritage of a race which will celebrate it's 55th edition on 11-12 April, 2026.

"We are honoured to be entrusted with the staging and commercial delivery of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon. This is a landmark event on the global running calendar, and with the backing of the Two Oceans Marathon Board, and Totalsports, our focus will be on delivering an excellent runner experience, and importantly increasing the runner value. We look forward to getting to work immediately."
Planning for the 2026 edition is already underway, with more announcements expected to be made in the coming weeks.
