Mulaudzi targets seventh Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series win in Mangaung
With his sights set on a seventh Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series victory as he edges closer to his career goal of 10 wins, Kabelo Mulaudzi is targeting a podium finish – and possibly a win – at the inaugural Absa RUN YOUR CITY MANGAUNG 10K on Sunday, 25 October 2026.
"Every win at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series is extremely special to me and my coach, and it would be a fantastic end to a difficult year if I managed to win in Mangaung," says Mulaudzi, reflecting on a challenging season during which he battled injury and only secured his first Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series victory in Joburg last month – a far cry from 2025, when he won four of the five Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series races.

That victory in “The City of Gold” on National Heritage Day was the Boxer Athletics Club top runner’s sixth career Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series victory, placing him head and shoulders above his competitors as he seeks to become the first man to win ten Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series races. Lining up at the sixth and final Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series race of the 2026 season, the reigning SA 10 000m champion who clocked 14:01 to take fifth position at the Boxer Super Run 5k in Durban on Sunday 18 October, believes he is in the right shape to finish on top.
"I stay consistent in my performances because my training is consistent and my coach and I work carefully on ensuring peak performances at the races that we target. The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series races have been our main target for the last 4 years. I would like to get a podium finish and if I am feeling good on the day, perhaps a win," says Mr. Podium who won the inaugural Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K in 2023.

Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series, shares his thoughts on the elite line-up and the excitement surrounding the series' inaugural race in Mangaung.
